Over the Hills
Acrylic on canvas · 760 × 1010 mm · 2026
The title work of the Napier exhibition — ploughed rows, ripe paddocks and the long blue ridge beyond.
Napier · Aotearoa
Six decades of hard-edged painting — paddocks, baches, tin sheds and the long blue ridges of the New Zealand landscape, rendered in flat, deliberate colour.

Crisp shapes, flat planes and unwavering colour — a signature look developed over sixty years of practice.
From wide rural landscapes to surreal compositions, each work is painted by hand in the Napier studio.
Works held in private collections across New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the USA and Europe.
